“Non Piu Andrai”

(First Night Saranac Lake)

The 2010-2011 season was the busiest yet for High Peaks Opera! It began with HPO soloists performing Messiah with the Tri-Lakes Community Orchestra, followed by a program of songbook and holiday favorites at Little Italy in Tupper Lake and HPO’s first ever participation in First Night Saranac Lake to help ring in the New Year.  Spring was greeted by a songbook program at Saranac Lake at Will Rogers as part of the first annual Daffest. Summer featured 12 performances of Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd with Pendragon Theatre (including two at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts), as well as Broadway/operetta programs in Essex (Essex Community Concerts) and Tupper Lake (Beth Joseph Synagogue) as part of their concert series!
